The Prayer

The Lord bless you…  The Lord pour out His abundant, unquenchable, inexhaustible, everlasting, wondrous blessings on you.  

and keep you… The Lord surround you, being your forward and rear guard, a hedge of protection and an impregnable wall to cover you from all attempts to harm.

the Lord make his face to shine upon you… The Lord look with care and love into the details of your life, bringing the light of comprehension and the wisdom of the ages to bear on every one of your circumstances.

and be gracious to you… The Lord flood you with His ever growing grace, covering any and all sin and washing you clean from all iniquity.

the Lord lift up his countenance upon you… The Lord smile at you with the joy of a father over His child, a hardy laugh in His belly and a warm, embracing hug that brings hope.

and give you peace… The Lord grant to you a peace that you cannot even understand, a jaw dropping peace that never waivers in tempest or in storm, no matter the situation, a peace that stands firm and brings life to you and those around you.
