Stability
"And He will be the stability of your times."
Ever notice how your times are always hectic, dangerous and unpredictable?
It does not matter who you are or what times you live in, your times are unstable.
Isaiah 33:6 makes a statement that should be understood by all people of all times. A basic understanding of who God is will help with enlightenment on verse 6 significantly:
He is the Rock of Ages - solidly resisting the changes brought on by time.
He is the Alpha and Omega - He begins at the beginning and finishes all things.
He is the Everlasting Father - the One who outlasts time, providing guidance and direction from an eternal perspective.
He is the Creator of All Things - including man who created time.
He is the Corner Stone - on which is built an eternal kingdom that shall remain.
He is this and much more.
He is All Powerful - having the very origin of power derived from Himself.
He is All Knowing - so that nothing, whether fathomable or unfathomable, escapes His knowledge.
He is Peace - true peace, unshaken by the events of the world.
Wisdom begins with Him - in fact, to fear Him is the beginning of knowledge.
He is True, Unquenchable Love - untainted by human frailty, unconditional at its core - LOVE.
God is all these things and much more.
So is He stability in your times? Of course He is.
He is the solid rock, who begins and finishes all things, outlasting time itself, and having created all things, He has established an eternal kingdom where His unmatched power and knowledge bring unshakable peace and true wisdom, and where you can know an all sacrificing, unconditional love.
Your times … they have nothing on God.
