Melchizedek Order - No More Bells
Jesus is a High Priest who is unburdened by personal sin. He offers supplication for His people without that nagging feeling of being unworthy. He changed the whole order of the priesthood. He did not do away with it. Instead, like the law, He perfected it! Completing that which was incomplete.
No longer blood required through daily sacrifice - now one sacrifice for all. No longer imperfect animals - now the perfect Son of God. No longer a mortal priest - now an everlasting Priest, holy and unstained. No longer a veil - now the open door!
Jesus has no need of bells on His robes or a rope around his ankle. His sacrifice is perfect because His sacrifice is Himself! God made the sacrifice perfect by becoming the sacrifice. It was the only way. Because of this sacrifice we are perfected through our faith in Jesus, the High Priest of our souls.
