Angry Birds

So we have a situation here - an unresolvable issue.  It is this:  when you get mad it does no good.  According to James, the brother of Jesus and contributor to the New Testament scriptures, “the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.”

Want greater proof of this?  Take a look at the Angry Birds app.  Now, we are not going to over analyze this to make a simple app the evil that is bringing imbalance to the universe.  However, Angry Birds does give us a little insight into anger.

So what is the point of Angry Birds?  To destroy the pigs.  Not really sure what the pigs did here to piss off the birds, but that is just like most situation where anger is involved.  Outsiders just don’t get it.  I am rightfully mad no matter if it makes sense to you or not!

So the pigs get crushed by the buildings, sometimes bunkers, in which they hide.  But what happens to the birds?  They fly through the buildings breaking glass, moving rock and knocking down timber and then POOF, they are gone.  They expire, leaving room for the next bird barrage.  All that remains is the broken down members of a building.  The building was not even their objective.  Angry Birds just destroy indiscriminately to relieve their sense of being wronged.

Of course some pigs hide in fortresses that are impenetrable to the average birds.  So what is needed is some bigger Angry Birds that are weaponized!  I mean, when you are angry should a little extra building strength really get in the way?  Send in the exploding birds!  Now anger has escalated to a new level and all bystanders beware.  You may be hit by an explosion of anger that brings the house down.

But no matter the size, strength and explosiveness of the birds employed, there is always a level that will not allow Angry Birds to find their target.  After all is said and done, after all energy and time is spent to unleash the wrath of the Angry Birds, there is always a pig left.

James is telling us this, ” You will not produce the righteousness of God while acting upon your natural anger.”  This is why Jesus stated in Matthew 5:44, ” But I say, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you…”  The sun is going to rise on the good and bad.  Rain is going to fall on the just and unjust.  The key is you.  God wants you to learn His righteousness.  Why should some pig get in the way of that?
