throughout history humans have lost sight of their Maker while adoring the blessings received from their Maker. This has robbed them of the joy and fulfillment found in communion with Almighty God.

We focus on the One who blesses. We center on the Great I Am, a Heavenly Father who lavishly bestows His many blessings on those He loves.

I Deserve Worse

I Deserve Worse

Set right inside of a Psalm of praise to the Lord, like a diamond set in fine gold, is a truth that should make our hearts explode with gratitude and praise.  Verse 10 of Psalm 103 states one of the most glorious truths for all of the human race and especially for those who trust in and honor God.  “He [God] does not treat us as our sin deserves or repay us according to our iniquities.”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and !

What an absolutely fabulous statement! Even better, what an absolutely magnificent truth!

What do I deserve from my continued sin?  How should I be repaid for the iniquity in my life?  Whatever your answer, you are probably right.  But that is not what God thinks.  That is not the way that God will treat me and it is not how He will repay my evil deeds.  Oh holy Lord, how great You are!  Instead of giving me what I deserve, the Lord shows me love that stacks from the earth all the way to heaven and separates me from my transgressions over the eternal expanse of east to west! (vs 11-12).

As a being in dire need of forgiveness I totally understand why this diamond is found right here in the Psalm of immense praise.  How great, how awesome, how wonderful, how glorious, how absolutely fantabulous is our God who “forgives ALL your sins, heals ALL your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion.” (vs 3-4).  Let all the heavens and all who live in the earth praise His holy name forever and ever!
