Still Waiting
"Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you …"
As we run about seeking salvation from everything other than God, He waits.
As we draw up our plans and execute without consulting God or His Word, He waits.
As we seek pleasure and fulfillment outside of God, He waits.
God spends a lot of time waiting for us. He is a patient God with much tenderness toward His creation, which includes you and me. He waits to show grace and mercy (vs 18) to us.
