Praises in a Foreign Land
Lord Jesus,
You know my heart. You formed my innermost parts. My struggle to know You more - to always be in Your Presence. Lord, how can I overcome my own self? How can I conquer myself? How do I fight the enemy, when he is me?
The Jews played songs for their captors in Babylon. They were made to play songs of joy although they were away from their home in a foreign land. They played because they remembered Jerusalem; they remembered the Lord Almighty.
I am in a foreign land. I am away from my home in heaven. I am made to play songs of joy. I will because I remember You, the Lord Jesus Christ. You have not left me. Great are You, Lord, and greatly to be praised.
