throughout history humans have lost sight of their Maker while adoring the blessings received from their Maker. This has robbed them of the joy and fulfillment found in communion with Almighty God.

We focus on the One who blesses. We center on the Great I Am, a Heavenly Father who lavishly bestows His many blessings on those He loves.

Missing Something?

Missing Something?

Unless we are receiving from heaven we are not receiving at all.

John, the disciple of Jesus, quoted John the Baptist as saying “a person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven.”  (John 3:27).

Everything that is received in a person’s life is received from heaven.  This would also imply that if one does not receive something, it is because it was not received from heaven.  This does not preclude the giving, but for whatever reason the giving may not be received.

So back to the question - if you are missing something, is it possibly because you are looking in the wrong place? Or, for whatever reason, you are unable to receive what is given? In this searching situation it may be best to consider changing where you are looking or even changing the way you are looking.

I have found it best to stop looking for the thing altogether and start looking to the One who gives.
