Have you not heard? Isaiah 40 will tell you.
Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The Lord God is no immobile idol, unseeing and without hearing. It is He who controls all the earth and stretches out even the heavens.
Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The Lord God has created all things. He has named them all and by His power and might not one is missing. Not one has been lost.
Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The Lord God is everlasting. He strengthens you when you are weak. He gives you power when you are failing.
Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The Lord God places rulers and governments in their station. It is He who plants them and it is He who causes their power to fade.
Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The Lord God is full of majesty and surrounded in wonder. His ways are incomprehensible and His understanding cannot be fathomed.
Who would instruct the Lord God? Who would teach Him how to counsel?
“All people are like grass, and all their faithfulness is like the flowers of the field. The grass withers and the flowers fall, because the breath of the Lord blows on them. Surely the people are grass. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.”
