God Knows - the real question

Most people, whether belonging to a particular “faith” or not, have at some point in their human existence wondered if God knows.  Does God know what we are going through down here?  Does God Know how hard it is to live in this world?  Does God know the atrocities being perpetrated on humans throughout the world.  Does God Know of the poor, the destitute, the sick, those who have no hope?  Does God Know?

We ask this question already knowing the answer.  The question, “Does God Know”, reveals a belief in the existence of God. If we believe in God, a supreme being Who created all things, understands all things and has power over all things, then we must at the same time believe that God Knows. So the question being asked is not really the question at all.  The real question is: Does God Care?

If, as we have already established, God knows, why doesn’t He do anything? The conclusions human’s draw on this question have eternal consequence. We, in our temporal state, having infant minds with absolutely limited understanding and minuscule capacity for knowledge, draw grossly erroneous conclusions on this matter. These conclusions most often lead to enmity with the One on Whom we rely for salvation.

The idea of limited mental capacity may cause some individuals to scoff.  The notion that we are limited in understanding and capacity for knowledge may be offensive. I certainly commiserate with this attitude. To be sure, I would prefer an existence of unlimited mental capacity over an existence with a limited physical organ with which to build knowledge and understanding. Our brains are fantastic, truly amazing in design.  But they are specks of dust compared to how we will exist in an unbounded spiritual world.

Our God exists in and, in fact, created that boundless spiritual world to which we will go after our physical existence ends.  Our God Knows - EVERYTHING. There is nothing our God does not know.  But, back to the real question, does God care? Jesus Christ. God cares so much that He chose to leave His perfect existence to live in our human state, in our same human world, even dying the same human death.  God chose to do that.  Not because He had to, but because He cares.  Your answer is Jesus Christ.
