Kissing Feet
She obtained a precious ointment. She found out where he was to be. And she went.
He wanted to know more about him. He wanted to talk with him, to commune with him and learn who he was. So he invited him to dine at his house.
In pious indifference he judge him not a prophet. He judged him unworthy of the title others had given to him.
In humility, her tears washed His feet and her sacrifice anointed Him, proclaiming worthiness.
He treated him as a foreigner, showing little love. She treated Him as Lord, showing much love.
Her sins were forgiven. He was left asking questions.
In Luke 7:36-50 we see the contrast between the religious approach to Jesus Christ and the truly broken follower of Jesus Christ. One sought a meeting with Jesus. The other came seeking Jesus.
