A Grateful Person

A truly grateful person -  how do they live?  What makes up a truly grateful person?

  • A grateful person’s joy does not depend on what happens around her or from what happens to her. Her joy comes from inside - from her heart.

  • No matter the situation a grateful person find himself in, he always finds reasons to give thanks.

  • A grateful person’s gratitude is based in love, not of the gift, but of the giver.

  • The smallest kind gesture directed toward a grateful person is a reason for gratitude.

  • A truly grateful person is among the most generous persons.

  • A truly grateful person has peace. Striving and conflict is not a common trait for a grateful person.

  • Whether a king or a pauper, whether a master or a slave, a grateful person will live life to the fullest.

  • When asked to do something a grateful person will serve.  A grateful person always serves without grumbling.

  • A grateful person does not seek revenge for wrongdoing.  Rather than recompense for a wrong as a directive, a grateful person is directed toward mercy.

  • A grateful person pleases God.

"The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me; to one who orders his way rightly I will show the salvation of God!" - Psalms 50:23
